Moon, mushrooms and flowers on a silver birch slice

This is a beautiful live edge slice of silver birch that I have hand burnt, with my Pyrography tool, a stunning moon and mushroom design onto, with flowers around the outside edge of the moon.

The background has been achieved by using the stippling effect, a technique I love because of the stunning finish it gives. I essentially burn lots of tiny dots onto the wood.

I have painted the moon with a gorgeous shimmery watercolour that really glistens in the light. I the little crystal having from the moon has also been painted in a shimmery watercolour.

I don’t often produce designs like this, and each one is always different, ensuring each one is a unique piece of art.

This piece comes with a small wooden easel so it’s easy to display on a bookshelf, your altar or mantle.

It measures 10cmX9cm and is approx 2cm thick.
